Posted By: Josh K.
I dont know why I find this so funny, but read what Nat'l Chicle had to say on the back of this Sport King's card about a then future hall of famer:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=31722&item=5116804361

I cant believe that that was the best they could come up with.

Posted By: Greg Ecklund
The backs of Diamond Stars were supposed to provide playing tips for the aspiring major leaguers who bought them. I have the Hornsby and Cuyler and they are both the same way as Manush - the Hornsby back talks about the proper batting stance and swing and the Cuyler back talks about backing up other outfielders on fly balls.
Posted By: Rhett
Greg, you missed the point. We know that the backs all say that stuff. It was the last line of the paragraph about Manush's manly voice that was supposed to be funny.
-Rhett

Posted By: The Other One (Julie)
a ballplayer's point of view; I don't think any of them spend much time lavishing praise on a particular player (If I wasn't so lazy I'd get out a dozen Diamonad Stars and LOOK before I POSTED--but I do know, the set is known for its tips for ballplayers, really good ones...)
