Posted By: Max
Just in case anyone other than Dan lurks and lives in the Vancouver, BC area, this is to let you know that we're having a local SABR baseball meeting at the BC Sports Hall of Fame tomorrow (yes, thanks for the short notice, you say) from 1 to 4. George Bowering, Canada's poet lauerate and a huge baseball fan will be speaking, along with Fred Herrmannn, owner of the Vancouver Canadians, and Dick Fitzgerald, pitcher for the Vancouver Mounties in the 1950s. So--no statistical analysis, but lots of vintage baseball discuasion. Afterwords, we'll have the traditional barbeque at our house 2953 Ontario St in Vancouver, with lots of baseball books, ephermera and even a few cards (but only ones Dimitri would sneer at).

Please feel to drop by for the meeting, the BBQ or both. Any questions, let me know. I can give directions in case anyone wants to make the 2 hour drive north from Seattle.

Max

My wife likes to refer to SABR meetings as "geek fests", but she hasn't met you yet.

Jeff
