Posted By: Jim Clarke
I have one T-206 card I'm going to sell on Ebay. It looks odd to me with the colors? It could be a ghost/scrap/printer defect.. Or normal? Where can I go to read up on them or see different examples...

[edited to add image and modify title]

Posted By: John(z28jd)
Adam is right, ive seen other cards like this that were probably soaked out of a scrapbook or something.I even have a Donlin, fielding that i got real cheap with the same porblem, just not as bad.A dealer about a year back was selling a bunch just like these on ebay. You can see a couple more, including a Soutern Leaguer,Bock Hooker thats on one of those t206 websites in the vintage link section on this site

Posted By: Art M.
A large group of these cards was auctioned off by mastronet about 1 to 1/1/2 years ago. There was a large album full of T206 cards and all had similar damage (water or other liquid). The album also contained TWO of the Magie error cards. John Billingsley won the auction and had both Magie cards graded (sgc10 and sgc20) The Magie cards have been floating from owner to owner to owner to owner....etc. for many months.
John auctioned the commons in large lots on Ebay not long after the mastro auction.
Posted By: JC
Thanks for the info on this... I like the Acid story the best... How would Leon knows what Acid looks like? Maybe another thread. I believe the soaking from a scrapbook is the real deal though. I'm helping a friend sell some of his cards on Ebay next week... Would it be wrong to say "One of a kind" on this water bleached card? LOL
