We want to thank our loyal readers and subscribers for sticking with us through all the transformations of the magazine.<BR><BR>Unfortunately, the magazine has not grown like we had hoped. As a result, this is the final issue of <i>BSC</i>. It's never easy to say goodbye. We hope you have enjoyed our coverage of vintage cards and collectibles, auctions, autographs, grading and action figures.<BR><BR>We hope that all our readers will find the quality guidance and information they expect from Beckett in our other monthly and quarterly titles such as <i>Beckett Baseball Collector, Beckett Baseball Card Plus, Beckett Football Collector and Beckett Football Card Plus</i></b>."<BR><BR>Looks like it's a one game town again. Posted By: <b>Aaron M.</b><p>You know I've taken to just skimming Beckett Vintage lately and I didn't even notice that they'd announced they were ceasing publication. Can't say as I'm surprised. Since they changed format from all vintage to encompass modern manufactured collectibles and junk like McFarlane figures and Starting Line-ups, I've thought the magazine has plummeted in quality and my interest in it has followed suit. I barely read it any more and had already declined to renew my subscription (fortuitously so, it seems). <BR><BR>With VCGB still unable to maintain a regular shipping schedule despite the umpteenth relaunch, are there any regularly published magazines devoted to vintage cards and collectibles?

I was disapointed when they did away with the hobby time-line that a few board members contributed to(Seth and Pete), but I still thought it was a good magazine.<BR><BR>I am not sure why but the magazine, regardless of it quality was not given the respect it deserved. It is strange the amount of attention that VCBC raises at the very mention of a new issue arriving. While Beckett Vintage(also a quality magize) gets very little attention. I have made a post or two about the magazine and the posts were given very little attention.<BR><BR>It is very discouraging that the magazine has folded...<BR><BR>Nick

Frankly, I was somewhat offended that vintage collecting had been relegated to the junk bin magazine. <BR><BR>One of the problems I saw with them was their inability to generate a comprehensible graded card guide. I've basically stopped relying on their pricing.

Posted By: <b>Jeff S</b><p>While some of the individual components of the magazine were useful, it seems to strain credulity to expect that collectors in any single field would support a magazine devoted to such a bizarre selection of specialties. With another publication out there (I'll bet there's something better in nearly every field that BSC tried to cover), I don't know why any consumers would think a magazine is worth the cover price when only 10-20% of it is of interest.
