I have ranked the larger "individual players" issues from most difficult to least difficult.

1) Horner Cabinets
2) Old Mill Cabinets
3) T4 Obak Cabinets
4) Jones, Keyser & Arras
5) T5 Pinkerton Cabinets
6) M110 Sporting Life Cabinets
8) Plow Boy Tobacco Cabinets
9) W600 Sporting Life Cabinets
10) T3 Turkey Red Cabinets

Some of my favorites:

Posted By: Elliot
Two types of Horner cabinets---lithographed and real photo. The real photos are much scarcer. I would rank the lithographed ones about the same as JK&A's. Of course, I'm sure you already knew that, as you left a blank space (#7) to accomodate the extra cabinet style. Not sure how I would rank them in the middle, but T3's are definitely the easiest to find, and real photo Horners the most difficult.

Posted By: hankron
I pretty much agree with Elliot.

There is also another notable cabinet set. Circa 1905 B.J. Falk Cabinets of the New York Giants. Includes Mathewson, McGraw, McGinnity, etc all in street clothes. They have dark brown/maroonish mounts, with brown tinted images and Falk's name on the bottom. The problem is that a large percentage have the bottom portion of the mount (including Falk's name) trimmed off. Still. they are distinctive and easy to identify. Don't know where to put them on the top ten list, but they're tough. Falk was a well known New York photographer, specializing in theatre actors, and photographed many of the personalities for the 1890s Newsboy tobacco cabinets.

Falk Cabinet of Christy Mathewson with the bottom trimmed off.
