Posted By: Patrick McMenemy
As a collector who enjoys displaying my baseball collection, I recently picked up a Reach Official League Baseball to go with a Spaulding National League Ball that I have had for years.

Since I know far more about cards, I wanted to know if there is a good baseball identification book currently on the market. I haven't seen one, and the sports memorabilia books that I have seen leave much to be desired.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Patrick

Posted By: Jeff O
Dave Bushing and Joe Phillips put out "Vintage Base Balls", a 20 page guide on dating vintage baseballs. The email address to order copies is glovecol@onramp.net. I don't remember how much I paid, but I think it was around $20.

Jeff
http://www.seattlehockey.net
Posted By: Patrick McMenemy
Thanks for the responses Jeff and other poster. Unfortunately, the weirdness of the board deleted your responses.

Jeff please post the address again since I hadn't written it down before the post was replaced with my initial post. Also does the booklet note minor league baseballs.

I have a Spaulding National League ball with a PB Ferrell fascimile signature. Is this a minor league ball or a anniversary copy?

Thanks again, Patrick
