Posted By: runscott
It probably has a cross-check database, found your name, and decided "numb nuts" was accurate. I'm guessing it will let me sign up as "smart ass".

I have to admit, you Minnesotians are great sports. I watched the Wisconsin/Minnesota men's basketball game the other day, and I'm going to have to call on the "penny roll" rule: if you can stick a roll of pennies in a girl's navel, she shouldn't be allowed to cheer-lead. This would have disqualified all the Minnesotans. The camera guy had some sort of a weird fetish - he was constantly doing close-ups of their bellies. I thought I was watching the Howard Stern show.

Posted By: jay behrens
You can have up to 50 "people" in the group, so unless we max out the group, I don't really see why you can't have at least 2 for the time being, and more if the group isn't filled by Thursday deadline.

Jay

Posted By: TBob
my entry is Marquette rather than TBob, in case anyone cares. Entry 1 was with my heart, entry 2 was with my head. I guarantee if Entry 1 wins, I will win the $10,000 because only SEC fans would have anything even close
P.S. Next year ya'll will be picking Arkansas as we make out triumphant return to the Big Dance!

Posted By: runscott
but my handle "GopherBiter" doesn't appear anywhere. Don't ask where I got that handle - I think it might have been a subconscious reaction to those heavy grain-fed cheerleaders I was watching the other night.

Posted By: Tom Boblitt
I can delete one if we get too tight.......
Boblittentry1
PeteBrowning forHOF

Unfortunately, my Louisville Cardinals slipped from their 16-1 record down to a finishing record of 20-9 after 2-3 injuries and lack of team chemistry after injured players returned. Hopefully as a 10 seed they will 'upset' Xavier. Louisville is an early 2 point favorite as the lower seed.

Everyone please put a hex on Kentucky to win as I don't think I could take the fanbase after an 8th National Title...........

Posted By: Ryan Christoff
Maybe we should set up one bracket where people get ONE ENTRY PER PERSON and another where people can cover all bases and pick a bunch of different picks with different upsets in each one so they don't have to actually put themselves on the line and pick.

Like putting chips on 20 different numbers at the roulette wheel while everyone else picks 1 number. Only without a O or OO on the wheel.

I'll be less than impressed if someone with multiple entries wins and I'll be viewing this bracket as a competition between those of us who have actually made picks rather than hedging their bets, so to speak.

This isn't directed at anyone specifically, just the concept of multiple entries.

-Ryan

Posted By: jay behrens
I did like TBob, one entry made with my heart and one made with more reason. Some years the heart works best, other years, common sense wins. Besides, it's not like we actualy have anything at stake in this.

Jay

Posted By: TBob
By submitting our brackets through the ESPN web site are we automatically entered in the ESPN $10,000 cash prize contest for the best bracket?
BTW, what's up with those Gopher cheerleaders. Damn. There have GOT to be some svelte Sweedish and Norweigan babes going to the school at the "U."

Posted By: Nickinvegas
This is the last day for the contest, we have 27 entries in. At this point everyone can submit up to 5 entries and you will still have a shot at the $10 G's and the Sleepy Bill Burns card! If you win the ten G's you have to give me a cut.

Regards,
Nick

Posted By: Nickinvegas
I thought I was doing pretty well picking the games and as usual there are hundreds that are better. I looked at the Leader Board for the whole ESPN contest and there are many that are perfect. I thought at 98% Lee and John would be up there for the 10K, no such luck.

At least I have won some $ at the sports book, I am up $1k.

Nick
