Posted By: warshawlaw
I normally use a sniper to bid on stuff I want, but I got lazy yesterday morning and figured I would load in my choices yesterday afternoon shortly before the auctions ended. I got a case of food poisoning from lunch and ended up at home sick, forgot to load in my bids, and missed an item I really wanted.

Posted By: Julie
I once just plain forgot to bid the whole last half an hour in a Sloate auction--there was soemthing i really wanted too--a Scrapps Hanlon with a WHOLE mustache!--and something else too.

never figured out why I forgot. Wasn't broke, distracted, or otherwise occupied.

Posted By: runscott
that's wild. "Owning a Scraps without a moustache is like eating fried eggs without salt..."

You can use that quote in your forthcoming book. Can I be "Steve Foster" ?

Disclaimer: Scott, working with expired creative license in attempt to compete with Julie.

Posted By: Julie
I was really giving some serious thought to the book ("Me and 40 Guys")last night, but it would be SO hard hiding everyone's identity, and still having really interestinfg chapters. Chapters would be short, so as not to bore everyone to death. Guess Koos would be OUT (even though I have preserved in hard type some of his more succulent contributions!). Would Leon be from Minnesota? That just doesn't work! Chat room s would be entirely dependent on my memory...i dunno. But it still sounds like a pretty good idea...You and your reproductions, canadian hockey cards...ENDLESS discussions about the variouis grading companies (would one sue at the drop of a hat?) "He was black--take my word of it"..."Picture sharing thread!" (still have the whole thing, intact!), raunchy stuff...

And, of course, "Hell hath no fury..."
