Posted By: Ben
We've all heard the many criticisms people make regarding E cards. They're too one dimensional. They don't resemble the players they are supposedly depicting. They don't have stats on the back. They are too expensive. Blah blah freakin' blah. The fact of the matter is, some of the most colourful and unique depictions of our beloved pre-war stars take place on caramel cards. So let's post pictures of our favorites!

Here's mine- e106 Speaker.

Spectacular colour, and what a background! If you look REAL closely, you can see a few billy goats chillin out way back there in the mountains

Posted By: runscott
(before I get beat up, it's a reference to a movie).

I used to have a silver gel Cuban card of Johnson - sort of wish I had kept it but the clarity was so incredible that I was able to blow it up to 8 x 10 and frame it.

Posted By: Julie
Great flick!

The card seems to be from about 1910, since it mentions his victory over Tommy Burns in 1908, which won him the championship, but nothing further.

Posted By: Julie
Since I sold my T206 Plank (to bid on the M.F. Walker photo and a N162 Kelly), I tell myself I don't miss it--but I bought a tiny Diamond Gum pin with the same image on ebay, and a Fan Craze Plank--big and gorgeous-same image--from Ben. Thanks, Ben!
It stays with you.
