Posted By: Paul
This guy says he has owned the card (a Goudey Ruth) for 40 years. He also says he has set a reserve "to protect my investment." What kind of 40 year old investment is he trying to protect?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2766363103&category=31719

Posted By: TBob
He bought the card in 1943. I assume that in 1943 the most a Babe Ruth card sold from, even if you got ripped by some neighbor kid, was a buck. What the heck is he talking about when he says "protecting my investment????" If he paid $500 for this card in 1943 the guy is a loon.

Posted By: Lee Behrens
Bob did you go to the same college as Brian Daniels? 40 years ago would be 1963. If with 1963, if he paid more that $10 he got ripped. Did you also sell ice cream to compete with Brian?

Posted By: jay behrens
No way you guys could work for PSA. You are far to overqualified, at lest for vintage cards. But they may put you in the new card division where you guys can create new errors and variations for the modern collectors to chase.

Jay
