If you sell an item at auction and try to contact the underbidder off the auction listing, Ebay routes you through a second chance system where they control the content and charge you a fee if the buyer takes the item. <BR><BR>The way around this is to use the buyer's feedback on another deal to contact the buyer. Saves the final value fee on it.
