Posted By: Kenny Cole
His name is Mark Kirchner. He's a 24 year old punk. Due to the efforts of another guy who he scammed, I've got his home address and his cell number. He runs two P.O. boxes and has checks for the fake cards he sends people made out to his wife/sister(?) Lauren. She's the one on eBay's "about me" page, but he's the one registered with eBay. He used to steal scans of real cards and then substitute fakes. Now I guess he's decided that its easier simply to list fakes and let eager bidders do the rest.

He took a guy for almost $5K on a fake '52 Topps Mantle. That guy got seriously unhappy, did a lot of research, and started emailing other bidders. Then he took another guy for $1,025 on some fake Jordan rookies. That's when yankeescollector!! went to the private auction format. He is now paying the first scammed guy back due, as I understand it, to a problem with having his fingerprints on the fake card. I imagine he probably now wears gloves when he puts those fake cards into the envelope. Kind of like Ohiotarheelsfan, he also says that you are trying to switch cards on him when you complain about receiving a fake.

There is also some indication that he lives with his mother and really doesn't want her to find out what he's doing. I am waiting for some additional information before I file the rest of my fraud complaints and hope to have it soon. After I finish filing with everyone I can think of, I'm going to send a certified letter to his home address, on my firm letterhead, and enclose copies of all the fraud complaints I've filed. Hopefully his mom will have to sign for it and get curious.

If He's NYPD's finest, then there is a serious problem in NY. I call BS on that. He's just another lying, cheating scammer. If I have my way, he'll spend the $800 he stole from me defending a mail fraud charge.

Posted By: Kenny Cole
OK, I'll be the first to take the plunge. My suggestion for feedback is "good with crayons, not good with cards or honesty. Liar. Is so crooked he makes a spiral staircase look like a fireman's ladder." [citation from Allistair MacLean novel omitted]. Probably too long, but I won't be offended if you edit while leaving the meaning.

Some of his other responses (not published above) were extremely vulgar and threatening and violate numerous AOL terms of use. I'm going to forward a report to them as well and recommend that he be removed as an active AOL user.

Posted By: warshawlaw
Apparently since 9/11 threats of violence made across state lines that are reported to the police or FBI must be investigated by the FBI. If you make a complaint to your local police department, they will forward it through the FBI to the local police in the miscreant's area and the local police will pay him a visit. This happened to me some months ago when a deranged ebayer reported me to the local police for allegedly threatening him. The FBI routed the report to the Burbank PD and I had a visit from a very amused cop, who told me that protocols put in place after 9/11 required the visit but that the local PD in the miscreant's jurisdiction told him that the guy was a nut. For someone who made written threats, the visit would be decidedly less pleasant.
