Posted By: <b>B Hodes</b><p>I bookmark cards (or terms that describe them in Ebay titles to be more exact).<BR>For example: "T206" ; "Charleston" ; "Cubs"; "1912" ; "SGC"or "PSA" etc.<BR><BR>Please feel free to bookmark "bhodes@21stcentury.net" he's a collector who sells great stuff and has perfect feedback and is only selling so he can afford to buy more stuff. (Sorry Elliot, I couldn't resist)

Posted By: <b>runscott</b><p>I check the pre-1930 baseball card category on a regular basis, and do searches on various combinations of key words. If I find an item I like, I am much more likely to bid if it is a board member that I trust, and much less likely if it is someone with questionable feedback history, "questionable" descriptions or scans, or who has caused me or others grief in the past.<BR>

Posted By: <b>kevin</b><p>Dan Knoll does have a pretty good page and selection<BR><BR>Some times you can buy things crazy cheap off the Rotmans page, they do have a pretty good selection, just watch the grading.<BR><BR>It is really hard to get anything cheap on Scgaynor, too much action and the stuff always seems to sell for retail. I think all of ebay has this guy bookmarked. <BR><BR>I don't bid on any of Henry Yee's items anymore. I used to bid, but the final bid would be like 3x the items actual value, then somehow show up again the next month. I found that kind of frustrating, especially when the description would be filled with misinformation anyway.<BR><BR>David Bryans page is good to watch for vintage stuff and the minimum bids are not too crazy.<BR><BR>Lipset has alot of stuff with low minimum bids, but sometimes has a problem with grading accurately

Posted By: <b>TBob</b><p>is that a lot of people, for example, don't know Sporting Life's are M116s or list them as Sporting Lives or Sporting News or put them in the tobacciana section instead of vintage cards, etc. If you've ever run a word search for "Sporting Life," you have to include text, not just title. When you do that, and try to run a general search hoping to find a diamond amidst the tobacco cards of fish and parks, you have to scroll your life away. It is amazing how many items on ebay have "Sporting" and "Life" in the text. <BR>As far as bookmarking, I used to bookmark Pete, Tim S., Scott B. and Bob (Foulpole) because they seem to bid on the same stuff I do, but I gave that up a couple of years ago, too tiring. Now I just do saved favorites on "Obaks" "Sporing Lifes" "E94s" "Close" and "M116s".

To put all the sellers that I like or who sell items I'm interested in can take up a lot of space. Posted By: <b>Julie</b><p>In spite of disappointments not too nummerous to mention, I often look up Mayos, jmiller@sempratrading.com, ejn9 (not so much since he's gone through his vinage stuff), all board members, esp. runscott and leonl@flash.net (whoops--did I say something wrong); bhodes lets me know when he has t202s; Tik & Tik I mostly call on the phone; drcycleback.<BR><BR>Usually, I look for the card, or the photo, not the person selling. Sometimes i just type in the name of the player.<BR><BR>If anyone knows a quick way of finding Old Judge baseball cards, I wish they'd let me know!<BR>

When you find his "Items for sale by ___" page, right click your mouse and select "Add to Favorites..." or pull down the same option from the Favorites category on the second toolbar. You give the page a name, like "davidbvintage", and click OK. It will be saved as a "favorite" which is listed and can be organized by folders. favorite=bookmark. Netscape works a little different and the verbiage may be different (I think they actually call them bookmarks), but the idea is the same. Next time you want to see what that seller has got going, just click on the favorite/bookmark from the list, and voila- you're taken to his "items for sale by" page.
