Posted By: Bob Lemke
I'll be joining the contingent from Iola at the Ft. Washington show next weekend. SCD Authentic will be on site and I'll be hanging around their booth. Stop by for a chat or to show me something new (or old!) for the catalog.

Posted By: Bob Lemke
The guys from SCDA will be set up at the show doing "quick grades." Unlike some other grading companies, the SCD Authentic quick-grade is THE grade your card will get if you decide to go from the card saver to the slab, as long as the label is untampered with. This is an excellent preview for $5, but it is not a slam, bam, thank'ee man. They generally need 1/2 hr. to 1 hour if traffic isn't too heavy.

Posted By: Bob Lemke
I shared the SCD Authentic booth with the guys at the fall Pittsburgh show and they were busy until the last couple of hours of the show. My sense is that the show-traffic customers are largely collectors who are not interested in immediate re-sale. I saw lots of people bringing over cards they had just bought on the floor or had on approval to check authenticity and grade. Those guys are good!
