Posted By: leon
Hey Folks,
I just spoke with Sean Skeffington again, over at SGC. We had a great conversation and came to a final conclusion. The new section is tentatively set to begin in the next week or two. I have spoken with several individuals on the board, and otherwise, and have come to the conclusion that the competitive nature of the registry is not in the best interest of EVERYONE. There will still be the regular "weighted" set section so those that want the best set can still have it. The other "Collection" section will NOT BE WEIGHTED. You will be able to post and display your SGC graded cards and basically "show and tell" without needing the egotism associated with being the best. Personally I could care less if mine is better than yours....I hope everyone interested is happy and will participate. I am biting at the bit (Texas slang) to see other folks collections......For the naysayers out there please don't rain on this parade. This can only be good for the hobby, I believe .....best regards

Posted By: runscott
it will be "non-weighted", "anything you want". For instance, mine might be "runscott's pre-WWI HOF", another might be "catcher gear type set", or "Ed Reulbach set".

Thanks Leon!

Posted By: petecld
Good News!!!

I will be registering my e-sets as time goes by but I'm not doing it with the intention to "one up" anyone. I am hoping it is a venue to find others with the same interests to buy/sell/trade with.

I really want to see what others have and have been impressed by what I've seen up there already. It'll be nice to see what other collectors have in their collections.
