Posted By: jay behrens
nice to see that Pro has sunk to the level of AAA and NASA.

It is interesting that Roy actually does go out of his way to make sure that bidder understands that it is cut from an issue of SI. I won't hold my breath, but maybe he will start being more forthright about his little cutouts from other magazines.

Jay

Posted By: MW
I have a slightly different perspective. If one looks carefully at the PRO label, it reads "First Issue -- Topps Reprint."

Couldn't this be indicative of the fact that the card came from one of the 1954 SI Reprint issues? Just my little hypothesis....

They're both Slim Shady.

But now that you mention it; sure, it's a SI cutout. I'm actually surprised they put "Reprint" on the slab. I just wish PRO would put "Trimmed" on its other cards.

Is it not logical to conclude, then, that Roy made an "off-line" deal with these folks and is now profiting from his many ventures into the past to bring back dozens of original SI #1 issues?

Boy do I feel stupid!

http://mirrors.meepzorp.com/ebay/time.machine/
