Posted By: Jeff S
It's a whole thread about me!

Yes, I am still planning to play in New York in December. For those of you who don't know what that means, I'm a bandleader and have a couple of groups that will be performing in NYC from Dec. 14-21. In particular, I'm leading an 18-piece jazz orchestra on Dec. 16 and 17 at a club in TriBeCa called the 20/20 Lounge.

All the details (locations, times, mp3 files, CDs for sale, etc.) are available at:

http://www.jeffsackmann.com

Posted By: Jay Miller
Jeff---Great! I will make it down for at least one of the performances. Is there one that you recommend in particular? Based on the CD that I have heard I fully expect it to be fantastic!

Posted By: Jeff S
The jazz orchestra is my pride and joy, and is performing the 16th and 17th. Since we're playing two hours of new music after one five-hour rehearsal, it might be a tad bit on the rough side on Monday and better on Tuesday. So Tuesday would be the ideal time to come. Sets at 8 and 10, different music each set.

I look forward to meeting you!

(The cover, by the way, can be paid in lower-grade Old Judge <g>.)

Posted By: David
That's great, Jeff. You've obviously got too much talent to be hanging around the board. Let me know when you do some Dead Kennedys covers. I hear Jello Biafra will sell song rights for a carton of cigarettes and a bottle of Mad Dog. I bought the rights for 'Let's Lynch the Landlord' but it doesn't sound quite right on solo recorder. Maybe with the propor arrangement and a 18 piece orchestra.
