Posted By: David
I don't know what their hoped sell price was, but MastroNet appeared on the front page of CNN.com for the sale of the Elvis hair (in between, I think, 'Christina Agillera Helps out the Vote' and 'Prince Phillip Claim: Some of Those Dresses Were Mine'). Now the non-collectors on the street will know MastroNet as 'Oh yeah, the hair guys.'

In the article, the hair is described as 'vacuum sealed.' You can't put one over on me, I know what that means. Doug was vacuuming the office late one evening. To make a long story short, they couldn't get the hair out and decided they might get away with it if they described it as 'vacuum sealed.' It would have been perfect for them but GAI's equipment experts refused to write a LOA saying the vacuum might have belonged to Presilla .... Not that Doug's complaining. He's off cleaning duty, and can now go home early every night.

They were not too keen on discussing the hair but they were very happy to talk about cards. I offered them a 56 Topps Football set but they passed because the condition was only VG/VGEX. They had some good points about grading services and were happy to check out the grade of a card I wanted to purchase from another dealer before I decided to buy it.
