Posted By: <b>Jeff S </b><p>I just got my first N29 today, and noticed that James Ryan is identified as a "CENTRE FIELDER." The british spelling. Is this true for all N29s? Does anybody know of 1880s cards that used british/american spellings in similar situations?

The N28 Anson looks like a British army officer stationed in India in the middle of the century. <BR><BR>Ang Lee's "Ride With the Devil" (about young men in Kansas or Misouri during the Civil War) uses an interesting cross between American and British speech (he's Chinese...)
