It is incredible the dollars that are added to the pockets of unscrupulous sellers merely by deceptive advertising and marketing, and most of it is completely legal.

I call these price-raising omissions of detail "Yee-isms", but the practice itself will be labelled "Koosian fraud" in honor of the man who has perfected it.

I now sit back and wait for threats of physical retaliation and insults to my ancestry...

--------------------------------------------
no disclaimer - temporarily taking responsibility for my actions

Posted By: Dr.Koos
...I'm REALLY Honored Scott that you chose to single me out as the new pseudonym for Internet Fraud. "Koosian"..I like the way that rolls out!! And let's see WHY you nominated me, and in turn because of your rush to judgement, without knowing what the reserve is (Yes Scott, a bid DOES have to achieve the reserve before a change of ownership takes place), and why the card is up on Ebay...two missing pieces of information I'd love to attatch to my shoe and force feed you with, that you should have considered LONG before you decided to get up on your no trick pony and lead a crusade....I have named the act of blithering headlong into a situation like a bull in a china shop without the slightest idea of which way is up...RumpScottian.

If you ever do meet me and feel that the chances of winning a debate are remote (which they are), then get in a tizzy and do whatever you need to.

Posted By: Sal Pagliano
Koos-

Your trimmed/restored garbage is a mere reflect of your own person. Personally I eat little body builders (especially the ones "restored" and beefed up like the way they do their cards) for brunch and wash it down with a nice glass of 10 year scotch. MMMM! That is why you hide behind private auctions and make friends with a couple more of the meatheads on this board just to try to prove a point that you cannot prove. Why don't you come up-state NY. i have a few comics that need some attention and some vintage cards that need some out-patient surgery. Also! bring me a bottle of scotch. The ones like you don't go down too easy......they seem to kick, scream, and moan a bit!! I may need a full bottle to wash you down and get rid of the taste.

regards,
Sal

Posted By: warshawlaw
Speaking from the land of police-created riots (our next one is scheduled to go when the jury finds reasonable doubt on those two cops in Inglewood), let's scale down the garbage and get back to cards.

That being said, my POV on this is that Dr. Koos is entirely in the wrong here. If a card is an altered piece of "garbage" and "valueless", you owe it to the buyers to disclose the facts. Who knows, you might be surprised at how much someone will pay for a card even altered. When I had the same ugly PRO experience, I cracked out the card and fully disclosed its history in the listing. Surprisingly, I drew a ton of bids and recouped 35% of my investment, and I did it without commiting fraud. Grow up and be a man--take your losses and sue PRO and the deceitful bastards who sold you the card, don't join them under that rock.

Posted By: Elliot
Now that everybody has got their respective licks in, I must say that I find the language in this thread deplorable. Perhaps, it just my "Canadianism" and my boy scout ways, but this forum is not the place for it. I would be ashamed for my kids to read what we adults post on this board. In any event, in an effort to keep the editing to a minimum I will not edit the posts, but ask that everybody to try their best to tone the language down, or take it off-line, as everybody has each other's email address. This will spare those of us with tender ears.

Elliot

Would it be possible for you to email me a jpeg. of your degree from an accredited school qualifying you to teach this course? Thank you.

Posted By: Brueso
Maybe what makes your actions so reprehensible is you were strutting around here a month or two ago about what a great person you were for sitting on the garbage you unwittingly bought and not passing it off to some OTHER "unsuspecting dolt". Now, you're doing exactly the thing you criticized PRO and others for.

Maybe you can get the PRO guys to give you some additional pointers. Maybe there's a T206 Wagner you can "find in a roll top desk".

Want to see an example of one of the problems in this hobby? Take a look in the mirror, Doc. You have become the thing you hate- or I should say, you once hated.

You'd find a more eloquent way to say "it looks real I gurantee". Better packaging, same "quality". But you might be able to pick up a trick or two from this seller for you next auction- that line "it's a 100 times more real looking" is the kind the unsuspecting dolts fall for all the time!
