Please let me know if you liked it better the old way. I'm assuming that most people don't really care.

Also, still working on a better solution to the poll problem. Please continue to let me know your thoughts and/or potential solutions.

A reminder to lurkers that new posters are always welcomed (at least, sort of, )

Elliot

Posted By: David
I don't beleive that the poll numbers are close to accurate. From the comments, it appears that are a lot voters from the CU board (Yes, that's a slight).

Posted By: David
I just want to add that, while MastroNet has made mistakes (as we all do), my guess is that most to all of the authentic '1' votes came from people who never actually bought anything in their auctions.

I have voiced my concerns with some of their identification/authentication procedures, but I gave them an '8' in part because I think they offer the highest service for the buyer and seller. Separate from any sales, many of their employees have been more than helpful in taking the time to provide information for my newsletter and other endevers.

Posted By: Paul
Elliot,
I'm still new to this forum and have a couple of very basic questions. I don't know how to contact you directly, so I'm using the forum, and hopefully other new folks will benefit from your answers. Here are my questions:
1. How do I start a new thread? (I'm using your "Administration" thread only because I don't know the answer).
2. How do I include a picture with my response or with a new thread?
Thanks.

Paul

Posted By: Elliot
Paul, Good questions. Sometimes, I just assume that everybody knows how to do things.

1) I can be contacted at bassin152@aol.com

2) To post---when you are on the main index page, just click on the word "post" which is on the far right, just above the index. Another navigating tool is to go down the index page to the last post you have read, by time, click on the thread above that one. When you have read the new post(s) in that thread, just click on "previous" which will be at the top of the thread. This will take you to the next thread (the one that is above it on the index page).

3) To insert a picture in your response. Make sure the box beside "enable formatted text" is checked off at the bottom of the response form. Also, ensure that you have include the proper url for the picture including the "http" part. (e.g.-- )
More information can be found if you click on the blue "Huh?" at the bottom of the response form. Also,if you don't have online storage, everybody who is logged in gets some free temporary space from Network54 that will allow you to save pictures from your hard drive. You can then use the url for this temporary space to insert your picture as described above.

4) Also, at the top of the main index page, there is a button labelled "chat" (right beside the post button), if you click on that, and it indicates that there are chatters, you will be taken to a chat room, after you have signed in. Most nights after 9:30 p.m. eastern time, there is somebody in the chat room. A note of etiquette, in the chat room, we expect everybody to identify themselves.

Elliot
