Posted By: John Wojak
Corners = "4"??? Hell, the card doesn't even HAVE 4 corners. Edges a "7"? With all the clipping, nicking and hacking, yeah, I count about 7 edges on it. "Strong Ex/Mt"?? I guess the seller means you have to be drinking/smoking something strong to call it Ex/Mt.

Posted By: john(z28jd)
looks like AAA cards need to be sent down to double-A for more practice...i like how they use private auctions too, along with those tamperproof cases they have,it makes me real confident

Posted By: Dan Mathewson
I just don't understand...who ever said a professional grader couldn't be on acid when he graded cards? Sheesh, you guys are SOOO picky! Ya want more than three corners on a card, ya want edges without huge chunks outta the bottom...what next???

You need to understand that when a professional grader is on acid, he is often worried more about the ants crawling all over him before he can pay particular attention to the picky details y'all want... So, c'mon, give AAA some slack, huh?

Posted By: petecld
This is great. Now collectors have two companies to choose from to have their magazine clippings and ripped out flip book pages graded.

Sniff, sniff, is this a great county or what?

Does AAA grade all the low end stuff that NASA won't?

However, you did neglect to mention the swarming flocks of card-hungry vultures. After all, that would explain the top left corner.

Bearing in mind the no-hitter that Doc hurled on acid, could you imagine the type of game the Rocket could fire on amphetamines and PCP?
I especialy like the effect of the "bar code" on the blank backed, personal-PC generated Triple-A label. What kind of optical system reads that? The combination Popeil pocket fisherman and laser bar code device?

Posted By: Dan Mathewson
...for Matty cards. He sent me one scan yesterday that almost sent me into a christy-coma. You know you're gonna hurt with with anymore, Brian! Remember, when you make me an offer to sell, I'm just a poor ole ex-cop type-a-guy...We no have much money... I'll see what I can do, though. Maybe I can sell some of my food, and a few of my clothes to but a card or two from you.

Posted By: Mike Williams
I sent an email to these folks asking for a grading explaination and here's what I got...."Hi, according to our records, this was graded a 6 ex mint. These are a thin card stock that is old and sometimes these get damaged in the holder as it gets moved around. After reviewing the link you sent us - we will take extra consideration when placing cards in holders.
thank you
irvin
aaagrading"

Posted By: Tom
at least AAA Grading has a 'viable' website. That crap that NASA pawns off actually helps to keep them above fraud. I put in one of the 'serial' numbers from an AAA graded card onto their website and it actually pulled up the card that was being pictured on ebay--a 1976 or so Gem 10 Nolan Ryan Topps card that was already at $51 or so. Definitely trimmed though. These guys are marginally slicker than NASA. I checked out who owns the url (aaagrading.com) and it is a Hawaii address, which ironically enough mirrors the home base of libertyforall and historic treasures.....
