Posted By: Keith O'Leary
A junk collecting friend of mine brought me these labels the other day looking for information because he knew I collected tobacco items. I never saw anything like them, so I told him I'd ask the experts. He found them between the pages of a book he bought at auction. When you hold them in the palm of your hand, they feel heavy like they are printed on lead foil (a little thicker then aluminum foil). I'm assuming they are the front and back of some original tobacco packaging. They measure roughly 3 X 4". I ask myself why anyone would save these in a book? I think cavendish is pipe tobacco? He is looking for a value and what they might be. Thanks all, Keith
