Posted By: TBob
I remember a few years ago that someone claimed they had once seen a tobacco card with a Hustlers back. This was never verified but lead to a lot of speculation that this could be even rare than the Ty Cobb back. The theory was that a printing error caused a tobacco baseball card sheet to be printed with the Hustler back instead of the intended tobacco non-sports fronts. Anyone ever hear anything more about this? Just curious.

Posted By: runscott
A while back Trevor and I won several BL460s from James. Trevor then posted asking if anyone knew the value of a BL460. Of course, the *** began to fly and several of us are still dealing somewhat distastefully with the repercussions.

If you see something and get excited about it, please wait until after it's signed, sealed, delivered. Patience is truly, truly a virtue, especially with vintage cards.

If this post offends anyone, I'm sorry - unfortunately this is a message that has to be repeated every now and then.

Posted By: Brian Weisner
Hey Tbob
I've heard this rumor for atleast 20 years from several different sources, but I've never seen a card. I doubt that even one printing error exist, the demand for such a card would make keeping it a secret impossible. I wish they existed because the search would be fantastic. It seems like you and I share the same interest, as we tend to bid on the same items. Look forward to meeting you sometime. be well brian
