Posted By: jeff
...can get out of hand! I am trying to whittle down the list of potential graduation gifts to myself (though I will take gifts from others <g>), though I'm not even down to a list the size of Julie's, and I certainly don't have the budget for it! But if anybody's got an lower-grade pre-war Ansons, I just might be in the market, buying for that special someone <g>.

Posted By: petecld
First off - Happy Birthday!!!!!

Second - These days I have no life. I'm not content with having a full-time job. No, I have to take free-lance work thus guaranteeing no free time.

What doesn't help is that my cheap(buttocks) boss uses a shoddy company as a e-mail provider so my email at work does work - but only sometimes and these days I'm home about 1am and doing e-mails is the last thing on my mind.

I have a small collection of e-mails that are quickly becoming "vintage" if anyone collects old e-mails. I answer them as soon as I can.

I do apologize to you, Scott and a few others for not responding quicker, I hope I didn't spoil the Birthday party.

Pete

Posted By: Julie Vognar
I'm 67. I TOLD YOU I WAS THE OLDEST, BUT YOU DIDN'T BELIEVE ME.

Pete: I just clicked on your (bright blue) name, and got an e-mail form. I have been collecting Blacksox stuff for 20 years. I mentioned some out-of -the-way stuff I had, said i wasn't a stickler for condition (McMullen F-GD), and asked if you were collecting everything, or just a nice representative sample of all of them. Look for an e-mail called "Blacksox".

Most I want a Radbourn portrait N172, even though I have a nice Radbourn. Mayo Nichols, Hamilton. Some more of the Goodwin Round Album (I have 4; the 4 HOF page is really ragged, but the kelly is breathtaking--it's a copy of the N173, but in color and in uniform).

Whoever asked me about which T202 common i wanted, that list was what I'M GETTING! I still only have 81 T202s. Gotta finish that.

The way i got the money for those cards wasZ: I called my step-brother and told him I'd just won a $4525 card, and had about $500. He allowed that though the house isn't sold yet, and he doesn't know exactly how much life insurance his mother left, he could probabl;y pry $5000 for each of the 4 of us (me and my sister, him and his brother) out of the lawyer fella. And he did. I don't know what he told everyone else he was doing it for...
