Posted By: leon
is the Davis card trimmed? I have good provenance that the Lord card is not. The Lord card also measures shorter top to bottom. I have louped the Davis and the top borders are looking pretty sharp. I most likely will do what a lot of ya'll have problems with. I will get something verified by a fairly respected 3rd party. My concern is that they make a mistake? ...regards all

Posted By: Bill Cornell
Leon-

How do the 2 cards measure? Dunno about the variance between these 3 similar issues, but the E104-1 Davis below is 1 1/2" x 2 11/16".

Also - the T208 on eBay right now is over $500 (!). A nibbler found his price...

Posted By: leon
The Davis (card in question) is 1 15/32 x 2 19/32 and the Lord card is 1 15/32 x 2 19/32...I might have posted the sizes in an earlier thread but that was without benefit of having the Davis card in hand. When I just put the two up "on top" of each other (no gay jokes) they are the exact same size. Might I be answering my own question? thanks to those that care to help in this matter. The Davis card is a sale that is in limbo is the reason I am asking. The seller has said I can return it if I want to. regards all..

Posted By: petecld
In my humble opinion, the Lord card is fine but the Davis is trimmed on the top. It could be an illusion but follow along the top edge starting from the center, going left - the corner seems to start to slant down a sliver starting where the picture box corner is but do the same thing going right and the top right corner seems to have a slight bat ear going upwards. Tough call since we are only talking about a 1/32" difference from factory specs.

It's a beautiful card otherwise.

Posted By: Wile E.Coyote
....really won't matter if one of the major companies slabs and grades the card. The entire top edge has been "chop-trimmed" along with the right half of the bottom edge "angle-trimmed" from the center to the right corner. An ambitious effort but still a far cry from 3 normal looking corners.
