Posted By: john
champs grading company has graded a 2002 topps t206 buyback card, and slabbed how it came from the pack,in its topps206 holder.will be interesting to see what this goes for,if people are willing to pay more because of the holder and id like to know how well they scrutinized it while grading it if its in a holder already...... ebay item 1813523716

Posted By: David
I don't know exactly how the T206 is held in the Topps holder (within semi-rigid plastic or soft plastic? Is it removable from the holder?). But seems to be a resonable and obvious conclusion that one cannot grade a card unless it is removed from any holder. I'm sure that each of has experienced how a top loader or even a penny sleave can hide wrinkles and blemishes (ink marks on a 1971 Topps). At least, it appears that Champs didn't give the grade for the Topps holder, which is what I was half-expecting
