I did not offer to buy his cards! I did offer to mediate netween he and "Coover" the unsuspecting buyer who will confirm...this card, the Ruth's et......are all tampered with!!!!

This should clear up your concern and prove you can grade a scan as you thought it was "hanky-Panky ' to begin with!
Posted By: MW
Brian --

I respect a great many things that you have written, but I cannot agree with you on this one. I have followed each of the six cards in this lot, and except for the T206 Cobb, all of the cards have been graded or were graded by PSA at one time. Five of the cards are 100% authentic, one of them is not.

Posted By: MW
<< I know Mike!!! I know this to be true! >>

No you don’t, Brian, you are guessing. Let’s go card by card.

First, the 1933 Sport Kings Babe Ruth. Although the image is no longer posted, this card was graded a PSA 4. Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1053796860

Second, the 1933 Goudey Lou Gehrig. This card was graded a PSA 4 and is currently listed on eBay. Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1800280944

Third, the 1941 Play Ball Joe DiMaggio. Although the image is no longer posted, this card was graded a PSA 5. Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1058719403

Fourth, the 1933 Goudey #53 Babe Ruth. Although not listed, this card was submitted to PSA after its first sale on eBay and came back as a PSA 3. It was removed from the holder (probably because it has many qualities of an Ex/Ex+ card) and is currently for sale on eBay. Also, I have owned this card and examined it. It is 100% authentic and completely unaltered.

Fifth, the 1948 Leaf Joe DiMaggio. Although the image is no longer posted, this card was graded a PSA 6. Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1058719414

Finally, I have seen all five cards in person and have judged them to be authentic and unaltered. As I previously stated, I have never seen the T206 Cobb, but it is clearly short and I believe it to have problems. Again, five of the cards are legitimate; one (in my opinion) is not.
Posted By: Chris Thompson
I resubmitted ALL of the cards that I bought to PSA, not knowing whether they had been submitted before and the results of that submission yielded a PSA 3 for the 1933 Goudey (personally, I think a 4 or 5 was in order), the 1934 WWBG Canadian Goudey came back a PSA 2 (which was a joke to me), the TY Cobb came back rejected due to evidence of trimming which is why the auction was cancelled and the 1933 #181 (auction also cancelled) came back as altered (I had my cousin-semi-expert-examine the card and he stated that the couple of light spots on the back "appeared to come from a successful stain removal" which could prevent PSA from grading it. He also deemed the card authentic but possibly altered. At any rate, I got refunded for the two cards that were deemed ungradeable.
