Posted By: Elliot
I'd love to see the rest of the M101 backs. Do other people have the ones that Leon is missing?

Posted By: Tim
Hi-- I'm the "investigator" Leon refers to in his note. I’m doing research into the "Sporting News" sets. I'm polling as many collectors of M101-4 and M101-5 as I can, in order to create a population report on the backs, as well as compiling whatever other unusual features of the sets I can discover.

I’ve got a simple questionnaire that I’d like to send along to anyone who has cards in the sets. Basically it asks for how many M101-style cards you have total, and what the distribution of backs is.

Let me know if you’d like to see it–

As this project develops I’ll be happy to share the results with you. This is not meant to make any money, just to have some fun with great old cards. Thanks in advance for your help!

I'm also trying to gather scans of all the backs, which I will then send out to anyone who participates or is interested in seeing them. I could use scans of these backs which I've heard of but never seen:

Burgess/Nash, Mall Theatres, Baycrus Baking

If anyone has them, please send them along--

Tim Newcomb
