Posted By: Bob
I received a call from Jerry Smolin today in response to the message I posted on the board concerning the problems with the auction he ran this weekend. Jerry was very nice and explained in detail that his server is still down and his email service is not working so everyone needs to be a little patient in receiving their responses on the items. The problems with auction extension and notification, etc. was from the internet provider and not on Jerry's end. I have bought several cards over the years from Jerry and previously Jerry and Barry Sloate and the cards have always been nice and the prices reasonable. I guess I could have picked up the phone and found out about the concerns I had but in this day of electronic bidding, I just saw the electronic problems and worried, along with many others. I do want to reiterate that I have always thought Jerry was a stand-up guy with an impeccable reputation in the hobby and I am glad everything was cleared up and hopefully he'll get his web site up and running again soon and his email problems cleared up too.
BTW I DID win the T207 Lowdermilk, so I was happy!

Posted By: Lee Behrens
I was bidding on 3 items in the auction and was never personally notified of any of the problems or extensions. I would think it would be good business to let the people that had already bid on items in the auctions of any problems. I was really disappointed in this fact.
