I bought a set of these cards in a sealed box recently. Made by Big League Collectibles, Inc., of Canal Winchester, Ohio in 1985. Mine are the America's National Pastime Stars of 1930 to 1939 set. Best I can tell, they also made a Set 1 and Set 2, and a Diamond Classics Original All-Stars (1933 All-Star Game) set, 4 sets in all. Something like 5,000 of each set. I have set number 3606/5000 of 1930 to 1939.

They sold for $8 a set when new in the '80s, and full boxed sets go for about $40 now. Real nice looking cards. Same size as 1951 Bowman, hand-colorized photos on the front.

A cursory look through the posts and not finding any discussion on these cards. Not really worth a lot, I get it. Anyone other than me have any of these?

IIRC Board Member Steve Mitchell created all these sets. Nice sets, no I don't own them but I bought them to break them in the 1980's during my full-time dealing days.

Yes, Steve Mitchell (SteveMitchell on Net54) made these sets, which are very nice. Diamond Classics Series 1 (numbered 1-55) came out in 1982, and Diamond Classics Series 2 (numbered 56-110) came out in 1983. They are the size of 1953 Bowmans, with 10,000 numbered copies of each set issued. America's National Pastime 1930 to 1939, the size of 1951-1952 Bowmans, were issued in 1985 in 5,000 numbered sets, each containing 90 cards. I have these three sets, but not the 1933 All-Star one.

Here are some images of this set I found on the internet to give everyone an idea what they look like.

I bought 'em all back in the day, all but one have the same serial # IIRC. Always loved how they look. His mom colored them, right?
