Anyone have an opinion on photographer based on image and reverse handwriting? Picked it up in an RMY auction a little while back.

At one point we had about 3000 NEA photographs of ballplayers from the early 1910's through the early 1920's. Very few were stamped by photographers but some around 1920-22 were stamped by Bob Dorman. It is likely that specific photographers are never going to be found, but I will add the Louis Van Oeyen worked for them as a staff photographer off and on during this period so there is always a chance he was the man who took the picture. My guess is that several people would be sent on assignment to take these images but I will add this bit of information, many of these images were taken during spring training and to do so would mean the photographer would have been on "out of town assignment" so perhaps there is evidence somewhere in the team archives as to who was traveling with the team etc.

The handwriting of Fewster's name suggests Van Oeyen. Maybe another Board member particularly familiar with his handwriting might weigh in. But I didn't find other back notes of Van Oeyen photos where he only used a 3 letter abbreviation in identifying a player's team
