I seek information in the issue, Sports Fan, Vol 8. No. 2. Mar-Apr 1958, relative to Bruce Foster's collection of Harry Wright "scorecards" or possibly "scorebooks."

I had a copy I got from Lew Lipsett, but one of my computer mailboxes crashed and I can't find it.

I'm counting on Leon, but know also that Net54 is a deep resource.

Here you go. I have a complete run of Sport Fan from 1954 onward, if you need anything else.

My thanks for your prompt reply and gracious offer. Page 2 exactly what I was looking for. Barry Sloate bought the Foster collection years ago, and he and I have discussed the scorebooks issue at some length, but I was then, and still am, interested to see if somewhere in Sports News there might be a more detailed discussion of the actual years included in the collection.

My own interest stems from the fact that I have the complete 1889 volume. A wonderful tool for researchers, it includes pre season games, partial rainout games and even post season exhibition games with snow on the ground. Plus, I can see what Samuel L. Thompson did in every single time at bat from Raleigh to Scranton in Harry's own meticulous hand.

I will ask the Net54 members one more question: Has anyone ever seen or handled a Harry Wright scorebook from the 1890 season? Or later?

Keith, those scorebooks are terrific. I remember when they were all whole. Glad you have a complete one, just a great historical piece. You probably did this already, but have you checked the DuMouchelle catalogue? There might have been something in there.
