There are 78 players that have had a one game appearance with the Yankees. A subset of 30 players had their only major league appearance with the Yankees. There is a smaller subset of 7 players who had one ML game with NYY but no minor league appearances that I could find.

I put together a Word doc that includes appearance date, photos, autiographs, etc for anyone interested (and who wouldn't be-LOL)

If you PM with an email address I will forward it. Any edits, better NY uni photos or missing autographs would be appreciated.

Great research! I have a similar list of guys who played only a single game for Cleveland, although I'm not done researching what other teams they may have played for. The most interesting thing to me in a list like this is how few of these players are depicted on a baseball card wearing the uniform of your chosen team. When you only play 1 game its often quite difficult to find a card or even photo of such players at all, let alone with their 1-gamer team. Of the 80 or so players in my list, I am only aware of 10 players having cards depicting them with the Indians, or 12.5% of these players. For comparison, 43.5% of all players who played for the Indians in their first decade 1901-1910 have a card depicting that person with the team.

I am guessing your percentage of one-gamer Yankees who have a card depicting that person as a Yankee would be similarly low.

I have 20 with photos in NYY uni either original or online; 7 have a baseball card; 16 autographs.
Of the 30, 8 have no card or image in a NYY uni that I can find. I think the number of photographers in the NY area makes a difference. See nice Conlon of Walter Bernhardt in 1918 below as example.

Good stuff! Who had the best “one game”? The worst?

On Sept 17, 1982 Stefan Wever gave up 8 earned runs in 2.2 innings for a 27.00 ERA.

On Oct 4, 1964 Elvio Jimenez went 2 for 6 in a Yankee loss to Cleveland. Heinie Odom on Apr 22 1925 had a hit in his only ML at bat.
