hi gang, im new so take it easy on me,,, ive been a collector for awhile give and take ran into some t 206 at a auction i have a mordecai brown blank back, has any one come a cross a t206 with a blank back on the 206, and also it looks like it has his autograph on the back any info would be great, other questions coming t206 ,,, 1888 a & g mantle and others

Any T206 with a blank back and a signature on the back sounds like a modern counterfeit usually sold on websites like Etsy. Don't get your hopes up. True blank backed T206s are super rare, like under 50 total known copies. Most with "blank backs" are what we usually refer to as "skinned"; the back was either torn off of the paper on back fell off when the card was soaked off a page from a scrapbook. Sometimes it's intentionally removed so that it can be fraudulently paired with a more valuable back and then glued together to look like a real card.

And searching Etsy, here's one I found for sale for $3.

thanks for the info swarmee card looks to good to be soaked, good corners and did a search on m. brown autograph before asking, i read alot of forums about the 206 but never did see one about the blank back thanks again
