What could be wrong?

He's a "remote viewing tintype whisperer."

I’d go for it but the shipping fee seems high...

Lucky for you that "ebay has recently capped the amount at under a million."

While painfully clear that this is not "a young 10-12 yr old" Babe Ruth, it is interesting to think about. In theory, I suppose a tintype of Ruth could exist. He was born in 1895 and by then tintype photography was mostly phased out, but wasn't completely extinct. It was used into the early 1900s as a novelty. I'm sure it had a certain nostalgic feel to some or was preferred by old timers. Probably not much different than actual film photography today vs. digital.

Not really sure what happened to the estate of the parents of Babe Ruth, but who knows, there could be baby Babe tintypes out there somewhere. I've seen the picture of young Babe in a dress, which is an interesting sign of the times. From online:

I know tintypes were still made into the 1910s, but it would have been the equivalent of using a VCR to record these days. That said, the guy would have better luck trying to sell the tintype as an early Oscar Levant.
