Is the John Ganzel who is shown on Rochester in the T206 set the same John Ganzel who in 1903 hit the first home run for the New York Yankees on May 11th 1903?

In baseball reference it does show a John Ganzel on the Yankees in 1903 and also on Rochester at the time he could be in the T206 set. I assume its the same guy, but does anyone know for sure?

Thanks.

The Baseball Reference site shows no other John Ganzel to have played professional baseball (including the minor leagues), so I would say it is pretty safe to assume that this is THE John Ganzel. His T206 also seems to be a fairly good representation of him compared to the photo used for Ganzel on the site.

Same guy, I've collected Charlie and John Ganzel for quite awhile (as well as Charlie's son Babe Ganzel).

Here is a nice write-up on the family: https://www.kpl.gov/local-history/kalamazoo-history/biographies/ganzel-brothers/
