When did this auction END last night? No notification last night. I got outbid at the end with no further emails from the Auction House as I was throughout evening.

Some of those T3 commons went pretty high I thought. Looked like a great auction.

I picked up a couple of things at what I thought were fair prices.

There were some very nice T3s all of which were much nicer than what I have in my collection and way more than I can afford. I was surprised the PSA 5 Rhoades only went for $1600 given some of the other prices on the more common cards in that set.

Clearly there were some bidders fighting over PSA registry-list set making and the low pop numbers made for some strange pricing! It also did seem several, if not many, cards appeared undergraded in EX by the newer tough standards on these.

How else is a Kling in Ex worth 50% MORE then Mathewson in EX?!!

Still trying to complete my set, have to wait for some Vg-Ex versions of a few of these i guess, with no bidding wars. Sigh.

That said, i managed to upgrade a few cards that didn’t have 2-4 bidders going nuts. And it’s hard to think T3’s in great condition are ever truly overpriced compared to what is going on with prices in general.

Regarding the T3s... I have never seen so much variance in PSA 5s in my entire life. Some had terrible corners and even creases, while others were clean as a whistle (and looking more like 7s).

PSA has no consistency whatsoever. I’ve never seen such a clear case of “Buy the card, not the holder”. Blow up the scans and check them out!

Very impressed with their selection being the inaugural auction. Yes, they had some late action and I had to read their closing rules twice to figure out how they do a double closing. Wish both the hobby Vetren principles continued success. Being a postcard collector and with the recent surge in autographs prices, I felt this was a nice pickup.
