So far, my new vintage collection has been topped with a lot of $100 - $1500 cards, but no whoppers that would stand out for a list like this.

'70s: '75 Topps Brett

That's a phenomenal list! That Graziano card is tough, isn't it? What's the story behind that?

Venezuelan Clemente...I have never owned any Venezuelan issues. Is the Clemente more scarce than normal? Where do you find those?

Insane prices on those cards. Over $7K is just unreal. I own this one that I picked up. What do you think this one would go for right now?

Venezuelans. Do people actually assemble sets of those?

The Graziano was pulled before issue due to legal problems (Rocky was known for suing over unlicensed uses of his image) but some got out. Fewer than a dozen are known.

There is one on eBay right now. It is his toughest Venezuela. I though Howard might have a Bazooka box as his grail. I think the 1960 is the ultimate if it exists.

Far and away his toughest Venezuelan! 9 graded copies - 2-5's, 1-3, 1-2 (that's new), the rest 1 or A.

With Floyds reminder - I will have to change my 60's to that 60 Bazooka box!! Literally been after one for about 30 years and so far have been unable to confirm its existence let alone acquire one!

The 1967 Topps Standup only has 3 graded copies a 5.5 and 2 authentic. I have never seen one go up for sale in the 35 years since I bought mine. I believe it is the rarest Clemente card. My card came from the personal collection of Woody Gelman, the art director of Topps who designed and marketed all the great Topps test issues of the 60s and 70s. He was also the first mail order dealer starting The Card Collectors Co. in the 50s.

I know of at least 2 other Clemente items that I own the only ones I've seen:

1) 1967 Topps Pinup sticker
2) 1956 Team issue photo

I am sure there are other items with only a copy or 2 known - that doesn't mean that's all there are.

I agree the Stand Up is exceptionally rare, but I have one and know at least 1 other board member that does - neither of which are graded by PSA. I remember only a single copy being offered in the last 30 years - it was as part of a set and is the one owned by the board member I referenced.

I don't have any holy grails, really. But ONE DAY I'll get back my 1959 and 1968 Mickey Mantles!! I just have to have the discipline not to spend for awhile and focus on getting those cards!

Nothing super hair-raising, but these are personal grails for me at the moment -

1930’s - nothing.
1940’s - ‘48 Leaf Ted Williams
1950’s - ‘56 Topps Mickey Mantle
1960’s - ‘68 Topps Ryan / Koosman
1970’s - ‘75 Topps George Brett
1980’s - ‘83 Topps Ryne Sandberg. (Stubborn defiance vote against the ‘89 UD Griffey Jr...)

Yep. When I think the top of the '80s, it's still the Henderson and the Fleer Update Clemens.

Am still surprised by the last month's Griffey explosion.

67 standups graded by psa are the proof only thin variety
Not supposed to be any number graded should all be authentic only...someone at psa screwed up

When the 1967 Topps Standup was on the PSA registry, it carried a weight of 10. The next highest rating was 7.

Mine is thick like the 1970 & 1971 Topps Supers, not the proof version.

I'd have to do some deep thinking to come up with a true list (keeping this one exempt of oddball sets), but off the top of my head:

1933 Delong Gehrig
1948 Leaf Paige
1952 Topps J Robinson
1963 Topps Rose
70s - Have all I really want
80s - Have all I really want

I went with cards I don't have but would love to add.

From my collection:
53 Campy is my fave card of all time
62 Mantle that was my late fathers from his favorite set
75 Brett just iconic
86 Canseco (so important to us as kids my friend died at 16 and was buried with one)
