I like looking at old Negro League, amatuer or professional, postcards. Haven't seen too many lately. Here is one (shown before but still cool)....

I've probably shown most of these before, but what the hey... probably my best cards. All feature HOFers.

Awesome stuff, Ken!
Cool postcard, Leon. Postally used or any info on back as to the location of the team?

Great postcards Ken. Thanks for sharing.
Phil I am pretty sure it is a postcard with no writing or cancelation on back. Unlike this one. Shown before but fits the thread.

Not very pretty, but the only one I have ever seen and it was signed. Plus, it came with the note.

trimmed like there's no tomorrow, but it's the earliest individual image of Cool Papa around...and I think it's the only one. Taken when Cool Papa was with the Cienfuegos team c1929. Yes, it has a postcard back...

And Kenny, killer postcards! Thanks for taking most (if not all) of the great negro league postcards still floating around out there.
Oh, and it was nice to see an Al Jurgela sighting on this forum!

Love that one, Derek. I had a chance to buy it once from a long-time previous owner but let the trimming prevented me from paying the asking price. If the opportunity came up later in my HOF RC collecting days, I probably would have made the purchase. Condition can't deter you from buying 1-of-a-kind cards, you never know when/if you'll ever get another chance.

The Nebraska State Prison almost always had an integrated team.
Always like the NSP rppcs above.

Dan B.:
Do you know the photo taken year of the second of your four Nebraska State Prison postcards? We have the same postcard in the Merkin Collection here at Hake's and would like to date it correctly, even a circa date would be great.
Thanks!

Phil, I believe that one to be circa 1930.

Hey Adam,
That snapshot is not Luke Easter, but it is of another NL legend: Artie Wilson. Cool!
Here's a post Steve Rudman and I did on Artie and Bob Boyd in 2012:

We should start a Native American Indian baseball thread. I have a lot I can share to that one.
Not Negro League but interesting nonetheless.

Actually, as terrifying as it is, this team really is directly related to the Negro Leagues. There were some real players who subjected themselves to this demeaning show of a team. In addition Pollock was the owner of the later Clowns teams which were a further evolution of this team

Not sure how I missed this thread the first time around.
Awesome postcards guys. Love all of the early teams, especially the 1911 Chicago American Giants and the 1939 Santurce Crabbers. Also, that RPPC of Bell is really special.
1931 Homestead Grays with Gibson, Charleston, Williams, Radcliffe and Posey.
1932 Pittsburgh Crawfords with Paige, Gibson, Charleston and Radcliffe.
