It's time again to make some guesses about the upcoming Brockelman Auction that ends this Saturday, and be rewarded with PreWW2 cards for your efforts.

The auction: http://www.brockelmanauctions.com/catalog.aspx

This time your guesses will involve identifying, from the listing of the lots seen below (some mine and some from other consigners), the FIVE lots that end up with the HIGHEST final price, and the FIVE lots that end up with the LOWEST price (including ones that end up with no bids). You do not have to guess the actual bid amounts, just the lot numbers. All of these lots are in the PreWW2 section...hey that's our forum's focus.

The contestant that guesses the most correct from the combined highest and lowest categories (the guesses do not have to be in exact final amount order) will win their choice of either 1 HOF and one common card, or 3 common cards. The winner's card selection is shown below. In case of a tie, the person who guessed earlier is the winner.

You can guess a total of two times with no editing, and the cutoff time for guesses will be 11pm EST Friday April 10th, which is the day before the auction closes.

Here are the lot numbers you will be choosing from:

Both Cliff and John have perfectly formatted their first guess, and they followed directions by choosing their lot number guesses from within the 30+ list provided in my original post. Hooray and thanks!

Keep the guesses coming. Because of the situation we are all in I figured folks might have some more time to do a little auction exploring. I changed the ending time for contest entries to 11pm EST on Friday April 10th...why not.

Less than 4 hours left in the contest, still plenty of time to scour and apply all your vintage knowledge to your guesses...if you participate you will, percentage wise, have a fairly good chance to be the winner, so good luck!

This is hard. Those were some well-chosen lots.

This is hard. Those were some well-chosen lots.

You are probably correct...perhaps too hard and time consuming, as seen in the relatively low participation compared to Leon's contest (brutal honesty...I participated in that one without even looking at the two lots). If I were to run this contest again, I would probably only have about half of the amount of lots to choose from, and only ask for the top 4 and bottom 4.

By the way, no more entries will be considered. Now it is your job to enjoy the auction tomorrow. I will let everyone know the winner sometime Sunday, or Monday at the latest.

Thanks to those who participated...good luck!

2 Winners!

The guesses ranged from 3 to 7 total correct out of 10 possible.

Nebboy was the 1st guess that had 7 correct...he will get either 1 HOF card and 1 common of his choice, or 3 commons of his choice from those pictured in the original post.

Milkit1 also got 7 correct, but his guess came after Nebboy. He will get his choice of 1 common (after Nebboy has made his choices).

Thanks again, and hope you all enjoyed the contest and the auction. PM's on the way.

Thank you for running such a great contest. I found the format very enjoyable. With this stay at home time I've been spending a lot of time with my collection and here on Net54. Thanks again and my best to you Brian.
