I just received a message from eBay that told me that I could list 50,000 BIN items for free in March and April.

Interesting. My concern is that I will have to list them as "Good Until Cancelled", and then have 50,000 items roll over to May and get charged a listing fee for each of them. (Not that I would have anywhere near 50,000 items) :) I didn't see anything in the message that addresses this potential problem.

That is correct....you will have to go in and manually close all the items before they automatically renew.

Yeah, exactly. Ebay doesn't do ANYTHING, without ulterior motives.

;)

Also, the flood of total junk that's going to hit the site, is going to turn into a tsunami, and then a hellscape for anybody attempting to do a proper search.

You can bet there's bulk listers out there geared up for just such an announcement from Ebay.

With my current store, I get 250 BIN listings per month.

Offers like this, if nothing else, are good for "topping off" so you always have 250 items for sale (the max that will renew for free next month).

Sure, that may leave 49,950 or so "free" listings unused, but I'm OK with that. :D

Sounds like a fustercluck.
