Uh, any schoolboy/schoolgirl knows that the 1952 Topps Mantle is not his Rookie Card (lot #6).

Too bad. Need to know how to run a business before doing so.

Howard - give us a shot - we had a few errors with the first sale but we learned from our mistakes and we have great items available. Thanks for the compliment.

So when are the pictures of all the items going to be up? It would be nice to see what I'm bidding on.

There are only a very small number of items in the current sale without any images. - which are being addressed by our staff.

If there is something specific you are looking for or need please contact us at info@crazyuncleauctions.com

Aaron, I personally have nothing against you and have not bid in any auction that you have run that I am aware of. As a bystander though, these are my observations. Since the last auction you have made exactly 5 posts on this board, 3 of which were in this thread and 2 were in BST transactions. You never once made any attempt to admit to the issues, apologize for them, or provide feedback on what you are doing to address them going forward. Yet you want the board member to simply give you another shot just because you have great items? Quite frankly, this is the definition of the saying stuff trumps all. So what have you learned from the last auction? That it is fine to still post lots without pictures? What are you doing different now? Here is another chance for you to address all the issues out in the open and to put your customers minds at ease in hope of restoring confidence in your company.

For anyone not aware of the previous auction issues, here is a link to an old thread: https://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=276022

DJ - I appreciate you giving everyone the chance to look at my past mistakes.

Why do you keep ducking those questions? In my opinion, doing so sure doesn't scream transparency, honesty, integrity and good leadership.

I've never bid in any of your auctions, and with your continuing desire to avoid legitimate questions that any normal bidder would have, it is highly unlikely I ever will.

My complaint is the lack of back scans. I just looked at a US Caramel Cobb and and US Caramel Ruth. Neither had back scans. Am I just buying the front of the card?

Not sure if this was a sarcastic response, but DJ's post is spot on. I looked at the auction last week. Some terriific items, no doubt, but nothing I could really use. Given the lack of acknowledgement of the problems and an enumeration of the steps you're taking to mitigate them, I wouldn't have bid anyway.

Why wouldn't you just take a few minutes and address the debacle that was the last auction? I haven't looked at the auction and wouldn't unless you explain why people should believe this one will be handled better. I'm honestly really shocked this is still a company after that. Seems like a no-brainer that you have to answer some questions and explain what happened if you want any customers.

YUP...+1...makes no business sense to not just fess up...explain what happened...and move on.

Agree with other posters. Finding time to come on here and make sarcastic remarks while ignoring legitimate questions about your previous auction does not make me think anything has changed with your company.

Perhaps Crazy Uncle's Auctions has decided to imitate the Hunt Auctions model. :D

Thanks so much for all of your comments.

I would like to point out that I have been a Net54 member long before I was ever an advertiser or even professionally involved in auctions. My membership was always based on being a collector and my love of pre-war baseball.

In an effort to quiet the storm, I will explain what happened and why people should believe this auction will be handled better.

During the last live auction there were some lots that did not have images and after the conclusion of the sale poor customer communication and the delay in shipping of some orders was a problem for us.

Inopportunely, one or more of the customers who experienced a problem is a Net54 member and they decided to take to the board with their issues.

As such, the members of this community have been exposed to Crazy Uncle Auctions from the vantage point of a person (or persons) who were dissatisfied with the sale or portions of the process.

Please note that this negative experience was not the case for the majority of customers. Most people have reported back to us that they had positive experiences and many have reached out to find out about upcoming sales.

Prior to the first sale we were understaffed and launched without all of our images to the dissatisfaction of all. After the sale, there was a shipping issue with some of the orders because of a shipping software problem and our order packer was involved in a car accident that furthered the delay, but the orders did get out and to their new owners.

We have taken note and remedied the problem by hiring more staff and they are working out great. This small group of experienced shipping and high volume warehouse people can more than handle the job at hand.

Thank you, I hope that this helps to establish a little trust here and if you should choose to participate in the auction I welcome your business and we will do everything we can to provide the best customer service we can.

Also, thank you to Leon for allowing me the platform to advertise to this network.

*It was noticed that some of the cards in the auction do not have back images – we did lose a large number of pictures right before launch due to files becoming corrupted – the majority of those files were card back images. We will get them up as fast as we can – in the meantime if there is a card where you need to see the back right away email us at info@crazyuncleauctions.com and someone will get you the picture you desire.

All of them which are highlighted are graded cards. They aren't altered as far as I know. None are mine.
