Just got a promotion for a whopping 5% which doesn't come close to offsetting the 8.25% TX sales tax. Can't remember the last time I received an offer that wasn't at least 8% and usually 10%. Why so cheap eBay?

be glad you get the offers. i stopped getting them a long time ago, have done all the various email and unsubscribe, etc etc. nothing has worked to bring them back.

maybe they'll figure it out when my spending goes down.

I agree, 5% is fairly weak...but it's better than nothing I suppose.

One trend I've picked up on is eBay is usually pretty stingy with coupons and/or bucks bonus offers during the first month of a quarter (Jan/Apr/Jul/Oct). That corresponds to when bucks are issued so my logic tells me they don't want you to earn bonus bucks when spending your bucks.

Or maybe its just a coincidence....

I would need 40% off to get a deal on most of the list prices I see.

I guess Heritage Bucks and Mile High Bucks pay you more than ebay bucks

Not very relevant to me since in a good year those two combined get maybe 1% of my annual spend.

I finally got this 5% after not receiving all the recent 8 and 10%. 5% feels pretty sweet over here.

so only $50,000 for you?

I can name almost every other AH as well that offers less in rewards then ebay

That’s a fact for the most part. Great point.

Well when eBay typically comes out with 8% or 10%...receiving 5% doesn't seem quite as charming.
