For years I’ve used gavelsnipe but that program doesn’t seem to work anymore. Any alternatives?

Me too. Have used it for many years.
This is alarming and on their site when I just logged in.

IMPORTANT: We are aware of the issues with eBay sniping, and it appears eBay is blocking snipes from GavelSnipe. As we look into resolving these issues, it is recommended GavelSnipe NOT be used for important eBay bids. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Cell phone alarm clock?

Gixen is a popular one. There are some options here:

But it looks like eBay may be throttling a lot of bidding services. Don't expect all of them to work all the time. Remember a few years ago, there was a string of summer Sunday nights when all the services failed because of eBay putting captchas ([x] I am not a robot) in their relogon procedures.

I use Myibidder and have been happy with it.

FWIW, Gixen is now limiting their free service to 4 winning snipes per month. I believe you can still have unlimited snipes, provided you're willing to pay for their premium service.

IMO, Given is the best! Only $6 a year unlimited.

I'll second this. It's been very reliable for me. I use the Firefox Add-on and it integrates into eBay perfectly.

Even thought that message has been on gavelsnipe for awhile now I've been using it (last time was 9/15) and its worked fine for me. I won cards using it on 9/10 and 9/12.
