Just when you thought the current “scandal” was about to end the hobby as we know it, the good folks at Topps have come up with a plan with the introduction of the OEM Topps Trimmed product line. Why settle for the uncertainty of third party card trimmers? These Topps cards are guaranteed trimmed and shrink-wrapped before they are sold. Yup, you are getting the real deal right out of box, a certified trimmed card, suitable for immediate inclusion in your cache of assets. Bypass PSA and grading. Why pay good money to have your card rejected as “trimmed”? If for any reason, you think an OEM Topps Trimmed card is legit, just send it back to Topps and they will gladly trim it again, no questions asked. This innovative new product promises to revolutionize card collecting. And let me be clear, these are not hack jobs. All the OEM Topps Trimmed cards appear Gem Mint right out of the box. Imagine the possibility of stocking your vault with unopened product. The resale value of these unopened cards will virtually eliminate the need for further retirement planning. If Social Security is discontinued, no problem. If your IRA tanks, no problem. Just let OEM Topps Trimmed cards serve as your personal hedge funds. You’ll never need to consider “shorting” Topps stock because this product is already short.;). For a limited time purchasers of at least one case of OEM Topps Trimmed cards will also receive a complimentary slabbomatic device to entomb your assets with a genuine Topps flip that comes with each card. As you know, a faux Gem Mint asset deserves nothing less. It’s an amazing understatement, but worth mentioning.

OEM Topps Trimmed Cards are good for the hobby.:D

C'mon, you know you are going to get your hand smacked for this. This is topic about modern cards in a Pre-War formum!!! And to clarify for those that have no idea what you are talking about....and I assume this is what you are talking about.... there are some 2019 Topps Chrome cards in the #200's that are coming undersized direct from the company. Some of the young studs and Trout. Not sure how it will play out but it's not the first time. Look at the vast majority of 1986 Fleer Jabbar stickers that are min size fresh from the pack.

To clarify, apparently I have no idea what I am talking about and before I get my hand smacked, Tim, I also have no idea what you are talking about.

This thread is an almost pure fantasy piece that is not era-specific related to current issues related to grading, TPGs, eBay sellers with and without vaults, Card doctors, investors and their assets and manufacturers of both rare and not so rare cards. The basic premise is that if all cards sold are trimmed at the factory, then the current “card trimming scandal” in the secondary market vanishes quicker than a green Cobb prop used by a certified sleight of hand magician.

A joke explained, is no longer a joke. Should have just ridden it into the sunset and never looked back.

Trust me, Frank is as serious about this OEM Topps Trimmed idea as he is when posting about most topics on this forum.

Certified player trimmed cards...then you're on to something. Topps certified Mike Trout actually trimmed this card.

Lol, thanks for the PM. The irony of you posting that at this same time Topps is having an issue with cards direct out of this years packs being miscut/undercut at the factory was eerie. I was looking left as you were shooting right. Glad we straightened it up!!
