Is it beneficial buying national autograph tix ahead of time?

I'm getting Shatner and wondered if it's really worth buying the auto ticket early?

They call up auto tix by number .. first the VIP and Super VIP then it goes by when you bought ticket. So if you are getting multiple players that overlap time having an early number can help. Last time national was local I went and bought all my tix on line early and it helped.
