Several years ago I picked up these photo cards, assuming they were a Sports Service issue. However, I haven't been able to find any others like them.

The 1968 Sports Service sets are 5x7, with sans serif typeface identifying the player and the team. Only the 1968 Chicago White Sox set has player autographs across the face. All other teams in the release, including the Phillies, is without autographs.

These photos match the 1968 set, but...
These are 3 1/4" X 5 3/8"
They do not have the name and team
They all have autos printed on them

Thanks for your input

Thanks!
Those are the first versions of this issue I've ever seen.

Set can be dated to 1968 by the presence of both Mike Ryan and Clay Dalrymple who were teammates that year. That was Ryan's 1st year in Philly and Clay's final.

Look like 1967 Safe Driving Phillies

I'll agree it looks similar but the presence of both Mike Ryan and Woody Fryman dates this at least a 1968 set because that was the 1st season for the Phillies for both of them.

It would be a neat trick if they had 1967 Phillies cards

The 1968 notation is correct
