Hi all, last week I published an article on the sports card and business links underlying Goudey, "Canadian Goudey," and their 1930s card competition. I draw some conclusions that'll be good to get feedback on, in case I missed or munged anything along the way. Let me know if you have thoughts. :-)

Great article and great sleuthing! I think your time line conclusions on when and how some of the sets were issued makes a lot of sense.

Thanks Taylor. It would be great to find some uncut sheets on any 1936 or 1937 Goudey or WWG sets. The fact that it's so hard to find those makes me wonder if different printers handled those sets, compared to uncut sheets known for 1933, 1934, 1935, and even 1938.

I agree, nice article and nice research! And I'm glad to see you using one of my Net54 hobby history posts, the one with Elwood Scharf's memories of collecting 1933 Goudey. It's nice to see my posts used as a steppingstone for other people's research.

That was great to rediscover! Lots of treasure here on Net54, thanks to work from people like you.
