I would be very grateful if you would please give your expert opinions about the authenticity of Charles Comiskey and Mordecai Brown autographs (scans attached).

They are offered to me as part of a bigger trade. The Comiskey is of bigger concern to me as the signature appears to me to be of the hand of Comiskey's secretary. Also, it appears the last name is misspelled (omitted the "e" in Comiskey). It seems unusual that he would misspell his own name (but it could have been signed abruptly?). I am not the expert though, so I'm looking for your guidance.

I don't have a strong opinion about the Mordecai Brown cut. Please provide your assessments of the authenticity of these two autographs. I am greatly appreciative of your help.

I wouldn't touch either one of 'em.

The Brown is absolutely terrible and I try to not over exaggerate when making comments on questions.

The Comiskey looks closer, but you can see it's labored and not from the signers old age. Comiskey's signature is generally more flowing, larger, etc. It also appears that the signature was placed there after the paper / material was folded and bent up. This would not be the case if original.

They also forgot to include an E in Comiskey's last name.

Can't add anything more than they both look like CC specials.

Coaches Corner... and both of these fit the bill. Stay away.
